The AEC has been successful in obtaining a grant for a project in the framework of the ERASMUS MUNDUS Programme. This EU programme aims at developing cooperation in higher education with countries outside the EU and at enhancing attractiveness of European higher education. The project, entitled 'Mundus Musicalis', is the first project in the field of music supported by ERASMUS MUNDUS. 'Mundus Musicalis' is coordinated jointly by the Norwegian University for Science and Technology – department of music in Trondheim and the AEC, and studies international comparability of systems and qualifications in the field of music training. The project builds on the outcomes of the EU/USA project 'Music Study, Mobility and Accountability' and confirms the intention of the AEC to maintain contact with professional music training institutions all over the world.

The main project aims are the following:

I. The collection and exchange of information on professional music training, by 

• compiling and providing information and analysis about educational systems, study programmes and policy issues in professional music training in the EU and other parts of the world
• collecting and disseminating information on issues related to the international recognition of music studies and degrees, such as recognition procedures, and quality assurance/accreditation processes and standards
• facilitating through use of the data collected in this project, policies and mechanisms concerning transfer of credit and acceptance of students into music study programs. 
• providing the basis for a clear understanding of current and projected expectations for student learning and achievement among EU and non-European institutions engaged in higher music education and training

An international working group consisting of representatives from the following institutions, many of which are AEC associate member institutions, will do this work: Birmingham Conservatoire (UK), McGill University – school of music (Montreal, Canada), Conservatoire de Music du Quebec (Montreal, Canada), University of Adelaide – Elder School of Music (Australia), Griffith University – Queensland Conservatorium, Brisbane (Australia), Keim Yung College of Music, Daegu (Korea), National Association of Schools of Music (US) and the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – Institute for the Arts, Porto Alegre (Brazil).

II. Development of an information website portal for non-European students interested to study music in Europe (www.studymusicineurope.org) with country descriptions, lists of and links to institutions and practical information about student mobility.

L’AEC a réussi à obtenir une subvention pour un projet dans le cadre du programme ERASMUS MUNDUS. Le programme de l’UE entend développer la coopération dans l’éducation supérieure avec les pays en dehors de l’UE et renforcer l’attractivité du système européen d’éducation supérieure. Le projet, intitulé « Mundus Musicalis », est le premier projet dans le champ de la musique soutenu par ERASMUS MUNDUS. « Mundus Musicalis » est coordonné conjointement par La Norwegian University for Science and Technology – départment of music à Trondheim et par l’AEC. Ce projet étudiera des systèmes de comparaisons et de qualifications dans le champ de la formation musicale. Il est construit autour des résultats du projet EU/USA « Etude musicale, Mobilité et Responsabilité » et confirme l’intention de l’AEC de maintenir le contact avec les institutions de formation musicale professionnelle dans le monde entier.

Les objectifs du projet sont les suivants:

I. La collecte et l’échange d’information sur la formation musicale professionnelle en:

• réunissant et fournissant des informations et des analyses sur les systèmes éducatifs, les programmes d’étude et les questions de politiques publiques pour la formation professionnelle musicale au sein de l’UE et dans d’autres territoires du monde
• réunissant et disséminant l’information sur des questions relatives à la reconnaissance internationale des études et des diplômes dans le domaine de la musique, tels que les procédures de reconnaissance, les processus et les standards d’assurance qualité/d’accréditation
• facilitant, à travers l’utilisation des données collectées pour ce projet, les mécanismes de politiques publiques concernant le transfert de crédit et l’acceptation des étudiants au sein des programmes d’étude musicale
• fournissant une base de compréhension claire des attentes actuelles et futures pour l’apprentissage des étudiants et la réussite des institutions européennes et non-européennes engagées dans l’éducation et la formation supérieure musicale.

Un groupe de travail international réunissant les représentants des institutions suivantes, parmi lesquelles beaucoup sont membres associés de l’AEC, sera responsable de ces tâches : Birmingham Conservatoire (Royaume-Uni), McGill University – school of music (Montreal, Canada), Conservatoire de Music du Quebec (Montreal, Canada), University of Adelaide – Elder School of Music (Australie), Griffith University – Queensland Conservatorium, Brisbane(Australie), Keim Yung College of Music, Daegu (Korea), National Association of Schools of Music (Etas-Unis) et l’Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – Institute for the Arts, Porto Alegre (Brésil).

II. Le développement d’un site internet, portail d’information pour les étudiants non-européens intéressés par des études musicales en Europe (www.studymusicineurope.org) avec des descriptions de pays, des listes et des liens vers des institutions et des informations pratiques sur la mobilité des étudiants.

Die AEC war mit ihrem Ansuchen um Förderung eines Projekts im Rahmen des ERASMUS MUNDUS Programms erfolgreich. Dieses EU Programm zielt darauf ab, mit Ländern außerhalb der EU Kooperationen in der Höheren Bildung aufzubauen und die Attraktivität der europäischen Höheren Bildung zu erhöhen. Das Projekt mit Namen „Mundus Musicalis“ ist das erste durch ERASMUS MUNDUS geförderte Projekt im Bereich Musik. „Mundus Musicalis“ wird von der Norwegian University for Science and Technology – Abteilung für Musik in Trondheim gemeinsam mit der AEC koordiniert und untersucht die internationale Vergleichbarkeit von Systemen und Qualifikationen im Bereich Musikausbildung. Das Projekt baut auf den Ergebnissen des EU/USA Projekts 'Music Study, Mobility and Accountability'auf und bekräftigt die Absicht der AEC, Kontakte mit Institutionen professioneller Musikausbildung in der gesamten Welt zu pflegen.

Die Hauptziele des Projekts sind die folgenden:

I. Das Sammeln und den Austausch von Information zur professionellen Musikausbildung:

• Zusammen- und Bereitstellen von Informationen und Analysen von Bildungssystemen, Studienprogrammen und strategischen Zusammenhängen in der professionellen Musikausbildung in Europa und anderen Teilen der Welt 
• Sammeln und Verbreiten von Informationen über Themen, die die internationale Anerkennung von Musikstudien und Hochschulabschlüssen betreffen, wie Anerkennungsverfahren und Qualitätssicherungs-/Akkreditierungsverfahren und -standards 
• Erleichterung von Verfahren und Mechanismen des Kredittransfers und der Zulassung von Studenten zu Musikstudienprogrammen durch die Verwendung der in diesem Projekt gesammelten Daten 
• Schaffen einer Basis von klarem Verständnis zwischen europäischen und außereuropäischen Institutionen der höheren allgemeinen und beruflichen Musikausbildung bezüglich gegenwärtiger und zukünftiger Erwartungen an Erfahrungen und Leistungen der Studierenden

Eine internationale Arbeitsgruppe, die aus Repräsentanten der folgenden Institutionen besteht, von denen viele assoziierte Mitglieder der AEC sind, wird diese Arbeit leisten: Birmingham Conservatoire (Großbritannien), McGill University – school of music (Montreal, Kanada), Conservatoire de Music du Quebec (Montreal, Kanada), University of Adelaide – Elder School of Music (Australien), Griffith University – Queensland Conservatorium, Brisbane(Australien), Keim Yung College of Music, Daegu (Korea), National Association of Schools of Music (USA) und die Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – Institute for the Arts, Porto Alegre (Brasilien).

II. Die Entwicklung eines online Informationsportals für außereuropäische Studenten, die an einem Studium in Europa interessiert sind (www.studymusicineurope.org), mit Länderbeschreibungen, Listen von und Links zu Institutionen und praktischer Information zur Studierendenmobilität

In diesem Bereich der AEC Webseite wird bald mehr Information über dieses Projekt zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
